Ombra

getombra.com (opens in a new tab)

Multi-tenant SaaS
Built by us · hosted by its owner

Ombra runs the whole of a salon, spa or barbershop from one place. Bookings, point of sale, staff rosters, client records, loyalty and marketing, plus a marketplace where customers find and book the business. Each business is paid directly through Stripe Connect, and the takings reconcile into Xero or QuickBooks without anyone re-keying a number.

Underneath sit fourteen services talking to each other across a ninety-five topic event bus, with tenant isolation enforced on every record, passkey sign-in, and business insights written by Claude.

Fabled

fabled.gg (opens in a new tab)

Platform · Marketplace
Built by us · hosted by its owner

Fabled is where people play tabletop role-playing games together online. Live video around the table, a shared board you can draw on, dice, character sheets, and a marketplace where the people who write adventures can sell them.

The hard part is the ingest. Point it at a rulebook and an agentic AI pass turns hundreds of pages of prose into structured, playable content, with a human review gate before any of it reaches a table.

Fetch

fetchtcg.com (opens in a new tab)

Marketplace integration
Ongoing engineering by us

Fetch is a trading card marketplace across Australia and New Zealand. We did not build it. What we build and run is the piece that connects it to the shops.

Card retailers plug their Shopify store straight into Fetch, and their inventory becomes live listings. The sync was designed to carry three hundred thousand products and millions of variants, event driven through EventBridge, with idempotent webhook handling and a dedicated idempotency table, so a Shopify event redelivered twice can never double-count a shop's stock. Getting that wrong sells a card that is not there.

We are now building features into the marketplace itself.

Premier Card Grading

premiercardgrading.co.nz (opens in a new tab)

E-commerce · Logistics
Built by us · hosted by its owner

Collectors send cards in, Premier grades and seals them, and the population report tells the market how rare that grade turned out to be. We built the submission flow, the price book and surcharge rules for each region, the staff app that walks a card through grading, the barcode labels that go on the slabs, and the phone app.

It runs across New Zealand, Australia and the United States, and each region prices and behaves differently.

TCG Shop Rivals

Real-time multiplayer
Built by us · hosted by its owner
Not publicly launched

A competitive card game built in Unreal Engine 5, with dedicated game servers spun up on demand through AWS GameLift. Steam sign-in, lobbies, ranked matchmaking on MMR, and a three minute grace period so a dropped connection does not cost you the match.

Beside it runs a generation pipeline that produces card art, names and rules text in bulk, pairing a language model with custom-trained image models.

Hosted and managed

6 sites

The ones we keep online.

Smaller sites, longer relationships. We built these, we host them, and we have kept several of them running without a gap for the better part of a decade. Updates, backups, SSL, monitoring and the phone call when something looks wrong.

Systems we look after

10 live

Filled, we host and manage end to end. Hollow, we built it and we still engineer it, on infrastructure the company that owns it runs. Built in New Zealand. Looked after from New Zealand.

Under agreement

Some of it we cannot show you.

Not every job comes with a link. Here is the shape of three we are not able to name.

Regulated

A national racing integrity regulator

Systems for tracking and managing integrity cases, for the body responsible for keeping the sport straight. It has since been folded into a Crown entity, and the work carries on inside it.

Law enforcement

A national police force

Internal tooling. That is about as much as we are going to say about it.

Built and sold

A point of sale platform for card shops

Point of sale and e-commerce for trading card and hobby retailers, running in shops across several countries. We built it, we grew it, and we sold it.

Tell us what you are trying to build.

We take a small number of clients at a time, which means we can be honest with you about whether we are the right fit. Send us the problem and we will come back with what it would take to solve it.
